Librarians-Paraprofessionals Professional Development: Getting Started

Why Professional Development??????

In education, the term professional development may be used in reference to a wide variety of specialized training, formal education, or advanced professional learning intended to help administrators, teachers, and other educators improve their professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness.

There are many ongoing programs for Librarians, educators, school teams, and districts to enhance teaching and learning and support the advancement of Library programs.   Professional development keeps us up-to-date on new research on how children learn, emerging technology tools for the classroom, new curriculum resources, and more.
